We're looking for a small group (20 maximum) of very special Peak Speakers. Experience isn't an issue. If you've been speaking for a while, great, you know what the challenges are. You've been in the Game enough to know what it's like.

I addressed 2 different area Rotary Clubs yesterday and I have to tell you that for the 1st time I walked away from a speech knowing I nailed it right. The feedback from the audience was terrific. I had their undivided attention the entire time. Their questions told me that they were listening intently and understood my message. I picked up leads for other venues including one at a college for a fee. I must give Jack full credit for teaching me how to engage an audience. I now know how to do this.

Message from Jack Barnard about the GAME
There are two parts to the speaking universe, what we will call: a) The Ticket & b) The Game.
If you don't have a Ticket, you can't get in the Game, so you don't get a chance to be with an audience and do your magic. (And you definitely have no chance of winning the Game!)
• THE TICKET… This is anything and everything that it takes to get you the speaker in front of your eager audience.
Which includes:
√ Fire-Branding…
If we the people don't know what is truly different and profound about you, we're not going to show up. (And even if we do, we're not primed.) You better expertly seduce us with your uniqueness in your promotional material before we get together or, well, we're pretty busy and a lot of people are vying for our attention.
Good branding is a shortcut for your various audiences. It helps them see not just what is unique about you and your message, it provides a consistent and vital window into the heart of your matter. Good branding — fire-branding — is not just what you call what you do, but the compelling conversation that follows and the convincing dialogue that follows the compelling conversation.
√ Promotional Material…
To get a great Ticket, at a minimum, you need riveting one-sheets, and eventually a masterful presentation package — all designed in such a way to knock us off our cans. (And of course, a professional video demo, but that's a subject for further study.)
The meeting planners and others who can book you know what excites them. Do you?
√ Juicy, Goosey, Seducee Language (call it Media Training if you're more comfortable with that)…
Every speaker — EVERY SPEAKER — needs to be sound-bit. Every speaker needs to tweak the way they verbalize content. Every speaker needs to know how to excite us in a sentence, in 5 sentences, in a minute, in an hour. Speakers need to retrain themselves so that they way they communicate is intriguing: elicits feeling, paints a picture. Bottom line: Be juicy!
Here's why media training:
1) Eventually — or if you're lucky, sooner — you want to be interviewed by all kinds of media — print, radio, TV, et al. You and deserve it, and it's the way to get your message out there.
2) More importantly, we-the-people have been trained in sound-bite language. That's what we get in our commercials, our news programs, our interview segments. We like to be talked to this way and we get antsy when we're not.
√ Marketing Strategy
Believe it, you can have absolutely everything else together — you're well-branded, you have great material, advanced presentation skills, etc. — if you don't have a well thought out, focused marketing strategy, you're dead in the water. It's like all the self-published authors who ended up with garagefuls of unsold books. What a waste. It's so important that Susan has made speaker marketing her singular specialty for over a decade.
√ Speech Structure
An ecstatic audience experience should be structured in the way the audience best absorbs it. Instead, we speakers often give too much information and not nearly enough engagement.
Peak Speakers need to involve us. Peak Speakers don't just teach us, they touch us. You need to organize your material so that it:
1) Enrolls us in the problem/challenge/dilemma before you go on to your great solution. (After all, you are a problem solver.)
2) Gives us just a few points to ponder. Think in threes. Think: simple, but profound.
3) Makes your point, then demonstrates with a story (every great speaker is a great storyteller) that makes it about us.
4) Engages us. (Get us to say or do something about your material. Involve us!)
• THE GAME…You've got your Ticket, there you are in front of an audience. The audience is primed, they've read your promo material, they've seen you networking or being interviewed, they like the way you talk about your stuff, they're hooked on your fire-branding, they bought into your marketing strategy. The Game is on, what does the audience want?
They want a grand slam, a slam-dunk, a hat trick, and a game-breaker. They want to be led, they want to be surprised, and they want to be inspired to their greatness. They want a life-changing experience.
To do that, you have to know how to create an authentic, energizing, over-the-wall-of-their-comfort-zones relationship. You have to connect and go deep. They want to be set free!
√ Connection.
A profound, authentic energy exchange. Communion. Rapport. We want connection, not perfection. Connection depends on taking all the attention off you and giving it to the audience. Connection depends on letting an audience in.
You can't fake it. Audiences know it, even if they can't explain it. You can bring us the best, beautifully branded, bonsai material and if you're in your head with it, if it's not encoded, if message and messenger aren't on the same page, thanks for your time, we may give you high ratings, but we get to go back to our lives, our old habits, our out-dated beliefs.
√ The Deepest Truth.
Of course, you first have to know it yourself. If you want to get to us, you better be willing to rock the boat now and then. You can't play it safe. You can't always be PC and bring us the deep, profound truth that can set us free. Too many speakers are more interested in getting 5's on their audience ratings than they are in making an audience uncomfortable now and then. Let's be clear here: getting all 5's doesn't mean you won the Game — it usually means you didn't.
You win the Game if your audience takes the experience with them and it won't go away.
FORM
In THE GAME:
1) You will learn: how to get a Triple E (Entertainment, Education, and Engagement) Ticket and how to absolutely win the Game.
2) You will work: From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with breaks and working meals, 5 days straight. The Game will be incredibly interactive, so if you prefer to sit back and "learn about speaking" don't enroll. Everyday the Players will roll up their sleeves, learning principles, practicing, trying them our, working in teams, in pods, one in front of the others, practicing, presenting, practicing, presenting, learning, practicing, presenting…
Here's how it will happen. We will dive into each area of The Game, but the thrust of our approach will depend on the participants. Let's say that you have pretty good promotional materials but are weak in branding. You will be appropriately teamed so that you can focus more on the weaknesses of your game. The group will be small enough that — as we move through the different themes — we'll be able to customize.
This is a wake up, an intensive, training. We will dive deep into each module.
On two of our five evenings together, guest speakers will present their signature speech material to us, not just for entertainment's sake, but so that we can absorb, critique and learn from their efforts.
On one of the evenings, there will be a speakers' surprise.
On the other two evenings, we'll be playing the Game.
